THE EMBASSY OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA IN RANGOON IS TRANSMITTING THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION THROUGH THE EMBASSY WARDEN SYSTEM AS A PUBLIC SERVICE TO U.S. CITIZENS IN BURMA. PLEASE DISSEMINATE THIS MESSAGE TO ALL U.S. CITIZENS IN YOUR ORGANIZATION OR NEIGHBORHOOD.
We are very excited to announce the launch of our new Twitter account, @ACSRangoon. We have been looking for ways to better engage with you, American citizens living or traveling in Burma, and believe our new Twitter account will give us greater flexibility in getting short, important messages out to you on a regular basis. Our plan is to use Twitter to augment our email messaging, and provide interesting information on topics such as health, security, voting, taxes, federal benefits, and more. In the event of an emergency, we will also use this account to provide fast, up to the minute guidance on steps you should take to stay safe.
We hope you will follow us at @ACSRangoon to see our first tweets about voting in primary elections and our office’s new email address.
