Message for U.S. Citizens: COVID-19 Restrictions Extended

The Burmese government has extended COVID-19-related restrictions related to gatherings of people, temporary closures of non-essential businesses, and the 12:00 A.M. – 4:00 A.M. curfew through July 15, and the quarantine for international arrivals, ban on international commercial flights, and suspension of visa-on-arrival and eVisa programs through July 31.

For U.S. citizens seeking to depart Burma, Myanmar Airways International (MAI) and Korean Air continue to operate a limited number of relief flights from Yangon to Seoul. Please check directly with the airlines on flight availability.
