To improve our ability to provide service to our customers, the U.S. Embassy will begin a construction project impacting consular services – expected to last from May 11 to June 15.  During the construction we will continue to provide full services to U.S. citizens, however our hours for routine U.S. citizen services will temporarily change.

During the construction, U.S. passport and notarial service appointments will only be offered on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 2:45 – 3:30 P.M.  All non-emergency services will be by appointment only.  Appointments can be made here.  The Embassy will remain open to handle U.S. citizen emergencies Monday – Friday, 7:30 A.M. – 4:30 P.M., excluding holidays.

If you are a U.S. citizen with an emergency in Burma, please call 01-753-6509 from within Burma, or +95-1-753-6509 from outside Burma and ask to speak to a duty officer.  This phone number is monitored 24 hours a day for U.S. citizen emergencies.
