THE EMBASSY OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA IN RANGOON IS TRANSMITTING THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION THROUGH THE AMERICAN LIAISON NETWORK AS A PUBLIC SERVICE TO U.S. CITIZENS IN BURMA. PLEASE DISSEMINATE THIS MESSAGE TO ALL U.S. CITIZENS IN YOUR ORGANIZATION OR NEIGHBORHOOD.
U.S. Citizens in Burma are invited to meet U.S. Ambassador to Burma Scot Marciel on October 10, 2018 at 5:00 P.M. at the new American Center, corner of University Avenue and Inya Road, Yangon.
Ambassador Marciel will give remarks and participate in a short Q&A session. The Consular Section will also provide a short presentation on absentee voting. Attendees will then be invited to enjoy light refreshments, network with other U.S. citizens, and explore the brand new American Center.
Please RSVP by email to ACSRangoon@state.gov before Friday, October 5, 5:00 P.M. with the names of all attendees. Attendees must present a valid U.S. passport for entrance to this event. Please do not bring children or minors to this event.
Smart phones and tablets are allowed in to the American Center, but you may not bring in laptops, cameras, metal lunch boxes, or other recording equipment. No storage for personal items is available.
