THE EMBASSY OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA IN RANGOON IS TRANSMITTING THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION THROUGH THE AMERICAN LIAISON NETWORK AS A PUBLIC SERVICE TO U.S. CITIZENS IN BURMA. PLEASE DISSEMINATE THIS MESSAGE TO ALL U.S. CITIZENS IN YOUR ORGANIZATION OR NEIGHBORHOOD.
U.S. Citizens in Myanmar are invited to a town hall with Charge d’Affaires George Sibley on March 5, 2020 at 5:00 P.M. at the U.S. Embassy, 110 University Avenue, Yangon.
Mr. Sibley will give remarks about the situation of the COVID-19 novel coronavirus in Myanmar and participate in a Q&A session. U.S. Embassy consular and security staff will also be on hand to answer your questions.
Please RSVP to ACSRangoon@state.gov by 12:00 P.M., March 4, 2020 with the names of all attendees. Attendees must present a valid U.S. passport for entrance to this event.
This event will be held in an outdoor area inside the Embassy compound. Attendees will undergo security screening to gain access to the Embassy. Phones, small electronics, and small bags will be allowed into the event, but you may not bring in laptops, cameras, metal lunch boxes, or other recording equipment. The use of photographic equipment on U.S. Embassy grounds is prohibited. Limited storage for personal items is available. No parking is available.
